South by Southwest, sort of

We rode 70 miles into Buda, a suburb of Austin.  Because of the festival, we couldn’t stay in the city, and biking in and out of major cities is difficult.  Today’s ride was easier than the last two days, but after 215 miles in three days, I’m ready for a couple of days off the bike.  In addition, the bike and most of my clothes need cleaning.  Such is life on the road.

We are making progress crossing Texas.  The star shows our approximate location; hopefully we are at its left edge.

I’m fascinated by the detail on some of the gates we pass.
