Easy day for a welcome change

We only rode 40 miles today, the winds were light, and the temperature continues to rise only to the 80s.  We had a very leisurely morning, not riding out until 8:45, and arriving in Buffalo, Wyoming with plenty of time to explore an interesting Western town.
On a side note, one of our riders with fancy equipment remarked yesterday that we have climbed over 11 miles so far on the trip.

I sometimes have a hard time believing I'm riding through all this incredible scenery.

There was a diverse and extensive collection of taxidermy on the walls of the old Occidental Hotel,
where I had lunch.

Not to be out done, the owner of the motel we are staying at hung this critter just outside my motel room.
