Into the woods

On Friday, we rode almost 60 miles from Perce to Bonaventure, where we stayed at a camp with many fine features but no WiFi.  We continue to be lucky with weather and tail winds, the hills are gentler, and getting my bike each morning seems about as natural as putting on my shoes.

This nautical-looking man was selling his boats off his truck at the side of the road.

His work is great but hard to carry on a bike.

An old railroad hotel, now a library and museum. Trains ran up here until six years ago, and a move is underway to restore first freight, then passenger service.

Perhaps the largest cafe au lait I've ever ordered.  The cranberry tart was fine, too.

More fine biking infrastructure.  This suspension bridge is on a short trail near our destination.

We ate under a plastic roof, and from time to time we could see mice running on top of it.  I was eating a very tasty duck poutine, my first of the trip.

We stayed in buildings on stilts connected by wooden walkways.
