Art galleries and beer

With another day to play in Perce, my friend Susan and I opted to get back on our bikes for a short ride up the road.  We covered 15 miles round trip, visiting several art galleries, a microbrasserie (brewery), enjoying one of the best meals I've had on the trip, and visiting a salmon smokehouse.  Then to keep or legs in shape, we hiked about 2 miles to a pretty waterfall surrounded by an impressive rock formation, before picnicking on the  cold smoked salmon we had purchased.

We've been roughing it at a very nice B&B.  Eight choices of homemade jams on this morning's breakfast spread.

I'd love to own this scene of the approach to Perce.  We had a long visit with the artist.

Busy little harbor near the brewery.

Aah!

Nicely seasoned lamb burger for lunch.

Hanging garden at the waterfall.  Much as we love the sunny days, people up here are worried about a dry summer.  Pictures show this spot with lots more water,

Feasting on scenery.

This is the first time on one of these trips that I've had a two day layover.  Rocher de Perce, or Pierced Rock, has been a good spot for sightseeing.  It has also had the largest crowds we've encountered.
